You can’t even disembark before you are struck with the beauty of this amazing city!! Victoria is the capital city of the Canadian province of British Columbia, located on the southern tip of Vancouver island and I fell in LOVE!!
Just look at the street art! this was “in progress” and I can’t wait to return to see the results!
Fisherman’s Warf
I had a blast exploring the vibrant area, Fisherman’s Warf – from the brightly colored floating homes to the fun food stops and unique shopping. I can’t imagine living on one of those house boats with all of the tourists, but each was well loved by it’s owner. They were all so unique! I really appreciated the personal photos outside one home with whales spotted from their back deck that were dated and lovingly displayed. Can you imagine seeing one from your deck?
Downtown Victoria
Exploring downtown Victoria was a treat. Stately buildings such as the Legislative Assembly were worth a stop. How about a high tea at one of the 5* water front hotels? We couldn’t resist a peek!!
Butchart Gardens
The stop that was number ONE on my list was to the famed Buchart Gardens and it did not disappoint! I’m just going to leave some photos from my experience here for you…This was probably one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever been. You truly could spend an entire day and evening (can you imagine this lighted at night) exploring each garden area. The shopping was quaint and the food divine!
On my way back to port, I stopped off in a really neat shopping district and even helped myself to the famed fish (my FIRST!) at Red Fish, Blue Fish. To say I’m a fan is putting it mildly.

China Town
It wouldn’t be a tour of any city unless you explored the cultural neighborhoods, so China Town rounded out my day!
For a one day port adventure, I think I did pretty well, but you all, I’m ready for a dedicated trip to Victoria! I was smitten with this fabulous city and all it had to offer!
